Winner of the 2005 Caldecott Honor, and written by Mo Willems, Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale is the story of Trixie and her first words. After the story, we’ll paint a ceramic bunny.
This year’s painting will be the Space Odyssey and we’ll be holding the event online! To participate, sign up on-line and we’ll put together a take home kit for your child and send you a message when its ready to pick up. Each take home kit will include: a 9″ x 12″ canvas, paints, a pallet for mixing paints and a design template. On the evening of the Paint Night, we’ll take you through all the steps for completing the painting during a live interactive online meeting.
This easy to do bubble painting technique creates a cool bubble effect on your finished ceramic pottery. Use it to create a background on your piece and then add other foreground elements by painting messages or images on top. You can even add a small add-on piece to give your creation a third dimension. Painting your ceramics with bubbles is also an easy project to work on at home. The kids will have a blast blowing bubbles and your project will look like a million bucks when it comes out of the kiln.
In addition to a piece of ceramics bisque and paints to work with you’ll need a few items you’ll most likely already have around the house.
Your Creation Station is OPEN on New Year’s Day! However, we will open a little later to give everyone a chance to sleep in.
Seating is very limited, please reserve Studio Time to ensure you have a spot.
